Day (7) of GOOD-revised, thanks DMCA

Here are some more favorites of the past year, I wouldn't call it a comeback, but it's the first real solo project from half of Outkast. Sir Lucious Leftfoot the Son of Chico Dusty is the latest from Big Boi and it's great from beginning to end. Big Boi has his hands in the second track too, he is featured on the song and if memory serves me he discovered her. Janelle Monae is hard to describe if you havent seen or heard her, she is like her album title implies and has even cooler hair than that chick from La Roux.

Sorry this isn't available for download. Thanks FCC, for your stupid rules, you can still listen to the song, and download it here or here from someone else.

"Shutterbug" Sir Lucious Leftfoot the Son of Chico Dusty

Janelle Monae
"Tightrope" The Archandriod

This is a little bonus because its the sickest mashup I've heard in awhile, and it also features Daddy Fat Sack

(31) Days of GOOD

LCD Soundsystem had one of the greatest records of this past year, and this was my favorite off their latest "This is Happening." And the second track is from Arcade Fire, who had another amazing effort that is one of the few records you can listen to start to finish. I listen to it while I write and it was hard to choose which track, so I imagine I'll post another one during the days of GOOD.
Enjoy.

Carte Blanche

Saw this on HYPEBEAST and was taken back to the 80's, this video reminded me of Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" which I lved as a kid. Check it out, and check out HYPEBREAST...its one of the best, if not the best blog out there. (aside from this one and CONCRETEOPINIONS of course)

and just for shits and giggles, for all the youngster born in the 90's who haven't see this...Enjoy

Day (5) of GOOD

The lead singer of Sleigh Bells, Alexis Krauss, has to be every hipster kids crush. She was a former teen pop vocalist and the producer, Derek Miller, was in a hardcore band... so of course it made sense to make music together. The second track is from the infamous and ever growing provacetuer/bastard we all know as Kanye West. I love him but I understand why most don't, but his music, especially beats speak for themselves. This is a track of his much anticipated album released last month.

Sleigh Bells
"Infinity Guitars" Treats

Kanye West
"Monster" MY Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
(not to be confused with Mr. Toad's wild ride)

BONUS: more Theophilus... a dope remix of The xx's "You've Got The Love" (hands down my two favorite artists this year)
can be heard on HYPETRAK

Day (4) GOOD

The fourth day of GOOD brings us my favorite new artist, and the best thing in hip-hop right now, and an artist who made an ok record but had a sik remix done. Chris Brown is kind of an afterthought in the "Deuces" remix but he has help from Andre 300, Kanye, and Drake...you can't go wrong. Enjoy

Day (2) of GOOD

Some more of the best of 2010, here is a band that is hard to miss these days between being featured on HBO's Entourage to being the sound of the latest NFL ad campaign. Here is Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They have as many band members as letters in their name. The second is from Blue Hawaii, not to be confused with the Elvis movie. I've featured these artists before but these are too good to be excluded from GOOD. Enjoy

"40 Day Dream" Up From Below
