Bad Dads SF

Beloved filmmaker Wes Anderson is the source of inspiration behind the Bad Dads art show tribute. This group exhibit opened on Saturday with a special Halloween themed party.

The name of the show alludes to the fact that nearly every Wes Anderson character has family issues, notably father issues. Each artist has picked a different character to reinterpret, making for a fun walk through some of our favorite films from the past few years.



The show will debut with a special Halloween party on Saturday, October 30th at San Francisco’s new art space, LoPo Gallery.

The will offer limited edition prints, a full bar (making this event 21+ only), and a set by SF's DJ Theory.


Original artwork and prints will be made available after the opening through the Spoke Art online.

Wes Anderson Short Story

Published recently by the University of Texas Press this short story is from Wes Anderson, from his college years at UT in 1989. Sorry about the format but it was only available in photo from. As you may know if you read this blog, I'm a huge fan of Anderson's and one of the many people who could watch him read a book or listen to him fart in a paper bag and find it genius.
