The google chrome browser is a free download that is completely customizable and easy to use. Any browser will work for this interactive video but only google chrome supports all the fun tid bits that this video is capable of showing. I have know idea about internet code but it's html5, which is the future of browsing that will replace flash.

Check out this link, plug in your address, and watch this amazing video: a few windows pop up, but don't worry, it's supposed to look like this. Enjoy

Here is my video of my old neighborhood when I lived in L.A. and some links to all this rad technology.

http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/#14617+Hesby+St,+Sherman+Oaks,+CA+91403,+USA
Google Chrome
TheWildernessDowntown

prettyuglyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18097091858675560145noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-531083539830924335.post-51581169075780543332010-10-01T07:51:00.000-07:002010-10-01T08:01:28.570-07:002010-10-01T08:01:28.570-07:00Is anyone else tired of Eminem?He's talented and his new album is decent, a lot better than the crap he put out on the last record, but I'm tired...To be honest I'm surprised he even made a comeback, but I guess all the Bieber fever kids need to listen to a little anger and strife? Artists like Eminem always do well when pop music turns really bubble gum, he first emerged during the whole boy band era, so why not do it all over again for the new generation of teens who were to young to remember the real slim shady. He has nothing left to say, everything sounds the same except for maybe the people he collaborates with, and how many times can he do the angry white dude "i got picked on in high school" bit. He's rich and apparently clean, maybe there's no inspiration left, nothing to feed the creativity, I'm not sure...Enjoy?

<object id="flashObj" width="486" height="412" First, their excellent album The Suburbs was released plus two shows at the Madison Square Garden are scheduled – one of them (August 5th) will be offered as a Terry Gilliam-directed webcast that will be aired on YouTube/Vevo at 10pm EDT. In addition, AF’s frontman Win Butler revealed that they are working together with Spike Jonze for a short movie. The famed video music director was hit by the muse after hearing the group’s album and immediately found a common vision with Butler. Hence, the project with a working title Scene from the Suburb will a science fiction B-movie highlighting accompanying the album. I will say, before I rant, that I like that there are ten best picture nods. There are so may movies that get overlooked that this somewhat equal the playing field. I have yet to see Crazy Heart and An Education, both have impeccable reviews and killer casts. And every other film is deserving of its nod, there are always a few that don't get the necessary press or distribution, but this list is a good representation.

My issue with this years nominees are with Where The Wild Things Are, because it got snubbed for music, art direction, and costume design. I wouldn't be so bold to call it a best pic, but it definitely deserved recognition for its creativity, originality, and vision. If anything it should have got a best adapted screenplay nomination. Two fucking Randy Newman songs, c'mon people, I'm glad Disney finally instilled some soul into some of their music and film but Randy Newman. Twilight had better music than the princess and the frog.

But on another note, we need to discuss Avatar, this film is everything that going to the movies was and is intended for. It is an experience, and no film has ever been as visually stimulating, but it is not the best picture. It was groundbreaking, it shook up the movie business, and it made everyone forget about their boring lives for 3 hours, or nine hours for a few of my coworkers. I can name three films that are nominated and, in my opinion, better and more deserving of the award: The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, and District 9. Three very different films, but all are compelling, entertaining, and creative works of art. Two of the best performances are also amongst these three films.

So tune in and see if I'm right and keep your eyes and ears peeled for the Wild Things DVD release and download that soundtrack. Oh, and if you can stomach an intense true story, go watch Precious, and I was told the book is even better, which comes as no surprise.

Check out the rest of the nominees at Oscars.org

prettyuglyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18097091858675560145noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-531083539830924335.post-60910639655437947202010-01-12T11:21:00.000-08:002010-01-12T11:42:21.975-08:002010-01-12T11:42:21.975-08:00All Mixed UpTune in tonight at 730 to 90.1 (in Northern CA) or kzfr.org for All Mixed Up, a local radio show hosted by my friend and former history teacher Drew. Anyway, tune in tonight, I'll be hangin out in the studio talkin music with Drew. Tonight's focus will be cover songs. It's tough to see a movie with this much hype this late, because all the talk can really ruin a good movie. I was excited for this movie just because of what I had read about the technology that went into making it.

James Cameron had the idea for this movie over ten years ago and the technology wasn't even available...that's a true visionary, and this movie was one of the most visually stunning works of art that I've ever seen before. At first glance this movie looked like a 250 million dollar Jar Jar Binks and friends, and I was worried that it would be a huge mess. It wasn't, and I really enjoyed it, even at over two and a half hours. The 3D was unlike anything I have ever seen, it was almost as if your in the world, not like the campy 3D I remember as a kid. So if you haven't seen it go and do so, I probably will again.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nHe_xNl-E7s/S0sATVLK2bI/AAAAAAAAALY/K0jQ2Axqvdw/s320/avatar-movie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425430508199401906" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nHe_xNl-E7s/S0sApfZ08CI/AAAAAAAAALg/bci-1GjmNUQ/s320/Avatar-Movie-Wallpapers.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425430888902357026" />

prettyuglyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18097091858675560145noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-531083539830924335.post-46479023520583259162010-01-01T03:44:00.000-08:002010-01-02T11:09:41.717-08:002010-01-02T11:09:41.717-08:00Day (31)...FinIt's the wee hours of the AM as I write the final day of GOOD and I'm a lil sad, partly because I won't know what to do with my time since this is ending and I still have a month left of winter break, and because '09 was a GOOD year.

I got married this year, had an amazing semester of school, discovered some amazing bands, saw some even more amazing films, and got accepted to work on a documentary film in Spain (my favorite place on earth) for two weeks this coming semester, and I found this amazing creative outlet.

Unfortunately this year was also a year of great loss, my wife and I, and our circle of friends sadly went to more funerals than weddings and I want to send my thoughts and prayers to all their family.
